A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a blue VW Polo car on the A64 at the junction with the turn off to Claxton and Stamford Bridge.

The rider of the blue Honda CBR motorcycle, a 46-year-old man from Ossett, near Wakefield, was taken to York District Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 53-year-old car driver was arrested and bailed.
