Motorcyclist seriously injured after wall crash near in Yorkshire Dales

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after hitting a wall near Hawes.

Police are appealing for any witnesses after the crash at about 11.40am on Saturday.

It occurred on the B6255 at Widdale Foot between Hawes and Newby Head.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said that "a black and red motorcycle left the road and collided with a wall".

The rider, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
