Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Yorkshire collision

Police are appealing for information after a motorcylist suffered serious injuries in a collision.

Officers were called to reports of a collision just outside of Hooton Roberts, Rotherham at about 4.50pm yesterday afternoon.

A red BMW motorbike, a white Ford Focus and a black Kia Sportage were involved in the collision, which happened on the A630 Doncaster Road, towards Conisbrough.

The rider of the motorbike, a 62-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He currently remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. A passenger travelling in the Ford Focus was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened and would ask anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 765 of April 23.
