MPs press case forregeneration plan
MPs will today press the Government to back the development of a major regeneration project and new railway station in Yorkshire.
The fate of Kirkstall Forge in Leeds – which includes more than 1,000 new homes, offices, bars, restaurants, shops, a hotel and the promise of 2,500 new jobs – is reliant on Government funding for the station, despite Harrogate-based Commercial Estates Group pledging 4m.
Campaigners will promote the scheme at a reception in Westminster.
