A TEENAGER was pushed to the ground and hit during a robbery in Bradford – which saw thieves steal just £20.
The 17-year-old male was approached by four men who made demands for money on Cecil Avenue at its junction with Frank Street, in Great Horton, Bradford, at around 5.45pm on Monday.
After handing over his wallet, he was forced to the ground and kicked by the men.
Det Con Jane Hebden, of Bradford South CID, who is investigating the incident, said: “For the sake of twenty pounds, these men used unnecessary violence on a lone teenager, who was simply making his way home after visiting the gym.
“Thankfully he was not seriously injured, receiving cuts and bruising. He was, however, understandably shaken by this incident.
“This will not be tolerated in any shape or form in Bradford and we need to quickly locate these men who clearly have no care or consideration for other people and their property.”
All the suspects are described as black, around 6ft 2ins and wearing dark clothing. Each ran off into nearby Horton Park. Call police on 101.
