Murder charge after fight victim dies in hospital

Police were called to the brawl in Victoria Road, Dewsbury, at around 6.45pm on Sunday. A group ran off when police officers arrived at the scene.

Police said the 39-year old victim man injured during the assault had died in hospital.

39-year old Nisa Shah has since been charged with murder and was appearing before Dewsbury Magistrates today.

One other man remains in police custody. Two other men arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
