Murder inquiry police name elderly victim

A MAN found dead in his home was last night named by police.

Suffolk Police confirmed that Paul Norfolk, 77, died from head injuries after the incident at his home in Castle Lane, Haverhill, on Friday night.

A woman arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody at the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.

Officers entered the property in Castle Lane after a member of the public reported concerns.

They found Mr Norfolk’s body inside and a woman with injuries.

The woman, who is thought to be in her 40s and from the Haverhill area, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for treatment.

She was detained by police after being released from hospital.
