Police have launched a murder investigation after a man, 29, died following an “altercation” in Grimsby in the early hours of this morning.
He and an 18-year-old man were found after officers were called to reports of a disturbance in the Churchill Way area of the town around 2.40am.
The teenager, who had suffered what police are describing as a “nasty” stomach wound, was found in nearby Eleanor Street.
When police arrived, they were being treated by ambulance crews.
The 29-year-old was taken to Grimsby’s Diana, Princess of Wales hospital, where he died. Specialist officers are supporting his family.
The 18-year-old is in a serious but stable condition at Hull Royal Infirmary.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and remains in police custody.
The area remains cordoned off today as enquiries continue.
