The Queen recruiting for a new maid at Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Queen is looking to hire a maid for her official Scottish residence - paying the new Living Wage.

The housekeeping assistant's job at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh, will pay £9.50 an hour - the same as the new Living Wage, which will come into force in April.

The advertisement on the monarchy's website has two types of contracts available - one offers 40 hours a week, the other 20 hours a week.
