Hide AdMembers have even been known to break ice on the lake in order to sail their craft.
The club has come a long way since its modest start in 1978 when it was established with just 20 members.
Today there are more than 120 members, with some who enjoy the scale modelling side of things and others who are more into their sailing.
Because of the wildlife on the lake, club rules forbid the use of model boats fitted with internal combustion engines or very high speed electric motors used in some model boats.
