Neighbours oppose new house plans
City planners have recommended that council members approve the proposals, which relate to the “generous and well-landscaped” garden of 2 Headland Drive, on the corner of Lydgate Lane.
So far, 13 letters of objection have been submitted to Sheffield Council in opposition to the scheme.

Hide AdObjectors claim that there is insufficient parking space, given that Lydgate Infant School is nearby.
They say that the additional traffic could “impact on children’s safety”.
Other neighbours say that a new house on the site would “create an overbearing impact, resulting in loss of privacy and amenity.”
However, planning officials say they are “satisfied with the design quality of the house” and have advised the plans are approved at a meeting on Tuesday next week.
The planners’ report, which is set to go before that meeting, says: “It is considered that the proposed house would sit comfortably within the context of the site and street.”
