New appeal over violence in Selby which left boy, 17, with cut to head

POLICE HAVE begun a new appeal for information over a violent incident in Selby last month, which left a 17-year-old boy with a cut to the head.

Two women and a man were arrested over the incident but no-one has yet been charged.

According to police, the incident began as a verbal altercation outside the Abbey Vaults Public House on James Street at around 7.10pm on Friday, June 29.

It continued to Portholme Road by which point it had become physically violent.

Several people were involved in the incident, including two 17-year-old boys, two women and a man in his 20s.

One of the boys was treated at the scene by paramedics after suffering a cut to his head.

A 27-year old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman were all arrested on suspicion of assault but were released under investigation.
