Among her best-sellers are her first novel, The World is Full of Married Men, and The Stud, The Bitch and Hollywood Wives, all of which were filmed for cinema or TV.

Collins also hosted her own chat show, called Jackie Collins’ Hollywood and has continued to be prolific, publishing around 30 books including Married Lovers and Poor Little Bitch Girl.

She was born in London and started writing while she was a teenager, dreaming up stories to entertain her schoolfriends.

She followed her sister into acting with minor parts in a string of low budget movies and television shows, but gave it up when her first novel was an immediate best-seller.
