The club's licence was suspended by North East Lincolnshire Council after police raised "serious concerns" about the management of the venue.

A review of the licence will be held within 28 days.

Coun John Colebrook, chairman the council's licensing sub-committee, said: "Members have heard that the police are not satisfied that the premises can be adequately managed in such a way as to prevent serious crime and serious disorder. We therefore feel it is necessary to suspend the licence with immediate effect."

Four men initially arrested in connection with the incident remain on police bail pending further inquiries. Three further arrests, of two men aged 28 and a 31-year-old man, were made last week.
