SEVEN men and two women have admitted their parts in a string of armed robberies across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
The offences began with an attempted armed robbery at the One Stop Shop, on King Edward Road, Balby, Doncaster, in July last year.
The following 17 days saw further armed robberies at the South Yorkshire Credit Union and Antique and Bargains, in Doncaster, Ladbrokes, in Rossington, and the post office in Prospect Place, Worksop.
At Sheffield Crown Court yesterday, Robert Hamilton, 33, of Shepperd Road, Balby, pleaded guilty to the robberies at Ladbrokes and Antiques & Bargains.
Robert Swaine, 26, of Stanley Square, Kirk Sandall, Doncaster, admitted the robbery at South Yorkshire Credit Union.
Shane Fletcher, 30, of St James Street, Hyde Park, Doncaster, and Ayrton Bint, 28, of Shepperd Road, Balby, both pleaded guilty to the post office robbery.
Daniel Rylance, 30, of Firth Crescent, Rossington, pleaded guilty to the robbery at Ladbrokes and Daniel Milward, 29, of Smith Square, Balby, pleaded guilty to the robbery at Antique and Bargains.
Frederick Teale, 48, of Galsworthy Close, Balby, admitted assisting an offender with the robbery at Antique & Bargains. Hannah Betteridge, 19, of Cartmell Drive, Leeds, and Terri Relton, 26, of New Beginnings, Balby, both pleaded guilty to the attempted robbery at One Stop Shop.
Hamilton, Swaine, Fletcher, Bint, and Rylance were remanded in custody while Milward, Teale, Betteridge and Relton were bailed ahead of a sentencing hearing on July 17.
