Nine-year-old in business already
WITH her expert handling and strong business sense, nine-year-old Harriet Lyon showed visitors to Countryside Live a glimpse of Yorkshire's farming future.
Harriet, from Malton, was entered in the event’s Young Handler classes for poultry. As well her entrant, Mysterious, Harriet owns and cares for 20 hens, running a little business selling the eggs they produce locally.
Harriet was joined by scores of youngsters who contributed to a very strong series of Young Handler classes at the event.
