No danger to residents after huge fire in Bradford

Residents have been given the all clear to open doors and windows this morning following a huge blaze at a building used to store toys last night.

At the height of the fire on Hall Lane Bradford, which broke out around 9.30pm on Monday, 70 fire-fighters from the city and surrounding area tackled the flames which had consumed ten per cent of the building.

An aerial ladder platform was drafted in and five fire-fighters wore breathing apparatus and used three large jets and high powered fans to bring the situation under control and clear the building of smoke.

There were no reports of any persons being involved.

Appliances remain at the scene this morning to damp down but a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed there was no longer any danger to the public.
