‘No foul play’ ruling on death

THE death of a Rotherham man who suffered significant chest and abdominal injuries is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Officers were called to an address in Hollowgate at about 7.30am on Thursday, where the body of the man, believed to be in his 50s was found. A post-mortem revealed chest, abdominal and head injuries.

South Yorkshire Police yesterday said that after further checks, including additional examinations of the area where the body was discovered, they believe no-one else was involved in the death. A file is now being prepared for the coroner.
