Detectives investigating the discovery of two bodies in a flat have said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Police were called to a property in Hallfield Road, Manningham, Bradford, on Monday and found the body of a man hanging.

West Yorkshire Police said this body has now been identified as female although the cause of her death has not yet been established.

A force spokesman said post-mortem examinations of the bodies have now been carried out.

He confirmed the man died as a result of hanging but the cause of the woman's death is still under investigation by the pathologist.

The spokesman said: "A formal identification of the female has yet to take place and family of the man are still to be informed.

"Following our inquiries, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with these deaths."

Yesterday, people living in the area around the flat said the property was divided into a number of bedsits with shared facilities.

They said the people living in the flat were Eastern European.
