AS a town crier he has plenty to shout about. But Bridlington’s town crier David Hinde was unable to shatter the world record for the loudest shout set by a teacher 20 years ago.

Annalisa Wray set the record at 121.7 decibels in Belfast in 1994, shouting the word “quiet”, but Mr Hinde achieved 114.8 decibels in a record-breaking attempt at Sewerby Hall.
