A MAN’S nose was bitten off during a fight in the street, Humberside Police said yesterday.
The incident happened in Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby, on Monday evening and the 39 year old victim was initially treated at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in the town before being transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary. The two men involved in the altercation, which started with an exchange of words, were known to each other, according to investigators.
They are seeking witnesses to the confrontation, which happened between 8pm and 9pm at a location near to Lloyds Pharmacy. Anyone with information should contact police by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference 1904936.
