Olympics set new record with top-selling sport DVD

Highlights from the London 2012 Olympics have notched up a new record to become the best-selling sport DVD.

The release features more than seven hours of footage from last summer’s games, as well as film director Danny Boyle’s acclaimed opening ceremony.

BBC Worldwide said 550,000 copies of the DVD/Blu-ray have now been sold, compared with 501,000 of the previous top title, The Ashes 2005 – The Greatest Series.
