One-man show for Rovers' chairman

THE chairman of Doncaster Rovers has announced that he is to star in his own "exclusive one- man show" to mark the publication of his autobiography which comes out later this year.

John Ryan, who has been credited with turning the football club around, will celebrate the launch of his book called Dare to Dream by taking to the stage at Doncaster's Little Theatre on April 1.

A club spokesman said: "The Little Theatre have run productions from Shakespeare to Snow White and now Rovers legend John Ryan makes his debut behind the footlights.

"John will talk about his book and some of the events recorded in it from the years at Rovers, plus the second half of the show will be a question and answer section."

Tickets cost 20 and include a champagne reception before the show. Mr Ryan will also be available to sign copies his book which will be available to purchase.

Tickets are now on sale at the Little Theatre box office, East Laith Gate, which is open 4pm to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. The box office can also be contacted by telephone on 01302 340422.

The club spokesman added: "With only 104 seats in the theatre, there is only limited availability on these tickets, so our advice would be to get in quick."
