Open All Hours back filming in Yorkshire
Sir David Jason will return as shopkeeper Granville for six half-hour episodes to be shown on BBC One later this year.
The new series, Still Open All Hours, will again be filmed in Balby, Doncaster, home town of writer Roy Clarke.

Hide AdThe festive special was watched by 12.2 million people, making it the most-watched comedy since The Vicar of Dibley in 2007.
David Jason said: “I am so delighted that we are doing a series of Still Open All Hours as the feedback from our Christmas Special has been so rewarding and encouraging.
“We want to have more fun giving the audience the kind of show they seemed to appreciate. It goes to prove that the corner shop is still open all hours.”
Shane Allen, controller of BBC comedy commissioning, said: “Roy (Clarke) has done a terrific job of updating the characters whilst keeping what was warm-hearted and enjoyable about the world of the original series.”

The decision to continue filming in Doncaster is another boost to Yorkshire’s reputation as the “Hollywood of England”,
It follows last week’s news that Screen Yorkshire, the region’s screen investment agency, has secured another £7.5m in European funding to help support new film and TV projects. The agency hopes to attract bigger budget productions
