Conductor Alexander Polianichko is set to lead timeless classics such as Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Violin Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 4 in F minor.

Polianichko is no stranger to taking the baton, having held various roles conducting in orchestras all over the world, including the Belorussian State Chamber Orchestra and Kirov Opera and Ballet.

Hailed as one of the greatest overtures Beethoven composed, the Egmont Overture is a gripping piece; from the stern chords that form its dramatic opening to its proud finish. Similarly his Violin Concerto, the only concerto that he composed for the violin, has an overwhelming impact.

The Kirklees Concert Season is a collaboration formed by Opera North and Kirklees Council; it features 13 concerts that showcase the talents of Opera North musicians.
