YOUR SAY: Disruption warning ahead of bus strike in Leeds

The strike by Unite members is expected to affect people who would travel on the 65 bus routes across Leeds.

Helen Mcgowan posted on Facebook: “My son has got his exams, how is he supposed to get to school to sit them......bad timing from the drivers.”

Janjan Loreal Wilkinson agreed, posting: “Bad timing. Roads will be manic with more traffic. But to be fair to the drivers. When is a good time. Those that don’t drive have to get to work.”

Rick Poppa said: “Its sometimes quicker to walk to work than wait and catch a bus anyways so will we even notice???”

Eileen Armsrong is sympathetic towards the drivers, posting: “They put up with a lot. Stressful job coping with traffic and horrible people kids screaming etc. Deserve decent pay.”

Anthony Hibbert also backed the drivers, posting: “I fully support the bus drivers!”

Andy Barber added: “Fair play to drivers”

Emma Thornton has a suggestion to avoid congestion on Monday morning, suggesting: “Get your bikes out.”
