Appeal for Dunkirk details

From: Nick Simpson, Village Way, Wallasey, Wirral.

I WOULD be pleased to hear from any Dunkirk Veterans or their relatives who would be willing to share any memories of the Dunkirk evacuation May-June 1940.

I would especially be interested to learn the date of their embarkation from Dunkirk and the name of the vessel that brought them home to England.

Heading for the hills

IF Nick Ahad had looked out of Lumb Bank before he wrote the article on the Arvon Foundation (Yorkshire Post, January 14) he would have realised that it is actually located halfway up a hillside in the Colden Valley between Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall and not “high on the hills above Todmorden”.

New number?

From: Terence Williams, Ossett.

I APPRECIATE this is not the ideal solution but why does Altaf Sadique, whose number plate has been cloned, not purchase himself another registration number (Yorkshire Post, January 10)?

Seems pretty sensible to me as a solution but I agree the law needs to be looked in this type of case.
