April 2: Top Gear diva who drove us all up the wall

AT last: In an unlikely column, Nick Ahad cuts the Jeremy Clarkson fiasco down to size with his “men who like brum-brums” (The Yorkshire Post, March 27).

Endlessly fanned egos fuel the bullies in whatever venue and they get away with it because we allow them to do so. One would hope that tantrums would prove financially threatening.

But the brum-brum bullies who drool over Clarkson’s antics are much more threatening. Their children are programmed from birth to become the next generation’s threat to road users.

TOP Gear presenter James May has described the Jeremy Clarkson affair as a “tragedy”. This was the day after the Germanwings airliner came down in the French Alps killing 150 passengers.

I NOTED (The Yorkshire Post, March 25) that Jeremy Clarkson, when asked if he had heard from the BBC, said that he hadn’t heard a sausage. He must be going deaf if he cannot hear a banger!
