April 24: Relief at action over this road

THE section of the dual carriageway of the A1 between the M62 junction and the Redhouse Interchange at Doncaster has seen many serious traffic accidents and it is with great relief that we now see the Highways Agency has started to close down and redesign the extremely dangerous lay-bys. We have never understood why there was not a 50mph speed limit, together with speed cameras.

FURTHER to recent correspondence, the programming of traffic lights on the A65 from Horsforth to Guiseley is adding to congestion. It’s time Leeds Council got a grip.
