Argument on the wrong track

From: Paul Morley, Ribblesdale Estate, Long Preston, Skipton.

IN his letter Wilfrid Ford (The Yorkshire Post, December 10) says it is train station and not railway station as he wants a train, not a railway. He can have as many trains as he likes, but if he doesn’t have a railway to run them on he won’t be going very far.

From: Leslie Duncalf, Lawrence Road, Marsh, Huddersfield.

I would respectfully point out to Mr Snowden (The Yorkshire Post, December 9) that Prince Charles is heir apparent to the throne, not heir presumptive. An heir apparent is an heir whose claim to succeed cannot be set aside by the birth of another heir, which is Prince Charles’ position.
