This IS an open letter to Kevin Hollinrake MP.

You will be as delighted as are the rest of us at the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine breakthrough.

We hope that you will also join us in urging this Government to press these companies to gear their provision and pricing of the vaccine to the ability of
most countries of the world to pay.

No developing country should be driven further into debt by its need to acquire the vaccine for its citizens.

This might of course necessitate the willingness of developed rich nations such as our own, morally indebted as we are to the developing world, to pay more.

It goes without saying that our Government should resist unworthy attempts to extract disproportionately high profits from this development.

If coronavirus is indeed to herald significant social and economic movement towards equity in our world, then here is the place to start.
