Debunk the green myths

From: Nigel Pearson, Carr Bridge Avenue, Leeds.

The discovery of huge deposits of natural “shale” gas beneath the UK is very good news, promising as it does the prospect of cheap gas and avoidance of the misery of energy shortages and widespread fuel poverty which must be our future under the present hopeless “renewables” policy.

But, as Dr Benny Peiser has pointed out, the “greens” are desperate on this matter, as every objection to extraction they have raised has been debunked. (As has also happened with their mythical “religions” of “manmade global warming” and “carbon reduction”.)

So it’s essential that the public who are in favour of exploiting this essential resource make this clear to the Government, cutting through the misleading propaganda we can confidently expect from the anti-capitalist tendency.

Send off the clown

From: Stephen Nichols, Leyburn Avenue, Lightcliffe, Halifax.

In 2004, Sepp Blatter, the FIFA President, suggested that woman wear “tighter shorts” to increase the popularity of the woman’s professional football game.

Two weeks ago, he and his FIFA committee told the British Isles teams that they could not wear the poppy on their shirts (then changed his mind due to outrage from thousands of sensible people) and now he has come out to say on the CNN television channel that there is “no racism on the football field”.

He has suggested that there maybe a “word or a gesture” that is not correct and says that “the one effected by this should say, this is only a game and shake hands at the end of the match”!

When is somebody please going to get rid of this clown?
