December 9: MPs’ ignorance and insanity is risking a third world war over Syria

From: Martin Cruttwell, Scrayingham, York.

THE idea that bombing Syria will protect Britain from Daesh – the so-called Islamic State – suggests insanity reigns in the Parliamentary hothouse.

It matters not how many IS operatives are plotting or training furiously in Syria or elsewhere in the Middle East, they will have to travel a few thousand miles to Britain, undetected, in order to do any damage and unless British bombs have a miracle feature enabling them to hit these would-be travellers then bombing cannot achieve the stated objective.

Oliver Miles, a former British Ambassador, has stated that this would be “ a principal driver in the recruitment of Muslims in Britain for terrorism here”. In other words, the policy has put us more at risk and had it not been for our security services we might have had a Paris event in the UK.

Is it that hard to imagine the desire for revenge of a surviving relative of the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis and others US/Western policy has murdered?

If logic proves the policy cannot work, one must ask what is the real objective? The international banker James Warburg told the US Senate in 1950: “We shall have world government whether or not we like it. The only question is whether it will be by conquest or consent!”

In order to remove “dictators” like Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi and Assad (all of whom have oil), and even though none of them were a threat to the UK, the threat had to be invented.

Theresa May let the cat out of the bag when she said at the 2014 Tory conference: “We cannot remove dictators and automatically assume that liberal democracy will follow.”

Tony Blair, and now David Cameron, have caused a massive humanitarian crisis affecting not only the victims but also the future peace of Europe, not forgetting the huge cost to hard-pressed British taxpayers.

John Nicolson MP, a former BBC newsman, correctly stated that by overthrowing the tyrants we have unleashed a thousand more previously kept in check.

Also sinister is the revelation by former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas in 2013 that top British officials had told him they were planning to destabilise Syria (run by a London-trained eye surgeon) by organising an invasion of rebels and would France like to join in? Since Assad is now saved by Russia, a third world war becomes possible. Many of our ignorant MPs have given David Cameron that possibility.
