February 16 letters: Taxi trip to hospital

From: Lynn Hearsey, Doncaster.

I THINK it is being a little melodramatic saying patients could become unwell in taxis (The Yorkshire Post, February 11). The clue in the article is “triage”. I have seen many an “emergency” arrive in an ambulance and
felt that it was an inappropriate use of the service. If it
allows ambulances to be freed up for real emergencies, then carry on.

I DO not agree with Norman Wilkinson (The Yorkshire Post, February 1). To state yogurts are £3.85p for six is ludicrous. If you shop around you can leave the two for one offers alone.
