Help requested in tracing family members

From: John Bolton, Gregory Springs Mount, Mirfield

I WAS fostered in 1938 in the Dewsbury area and subsequently adopted in 1938 by Harold and Sarah Bolton.

I have been called Bolton from as early as I can remember. Harold was born January 10, 1892, the son of William (born April 18, 1869) and Miriam Elizabeth Bolton (born February 20, 1869) and the family were living in New Road Side, Horsforth, Leeds, at that time, later residing in the Rodley Hill and Bramley areas.

Recently I traced details of one of Harold’s three brothers, Edward (born March 24, 1896) who died in France in 1916 while serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers. I found his name on the recently unveiled memorial in Bramley Park, thanks to the coverage by The Yorkshire Post and the other week I planted a cross of remembrance there.

I would like to hear from any descendants of the Bolton family or of Miriam Nattress, Harold’s sister, who was also living
in the Bramley area of Leeds from around 1940 to 1955.

I have dates of birth and deaths of other siblings but lack a lot more detail.
