An honourable resignation?
NOW that Vince Cable’s vendetta against the Farepak directors has collapsed, at great cost to the taxpayer, and that HSBC has been judged the most culpable in the Farepak scandal, again at great expense to the taxpayer, can we expect to see Vince Cable’s resignation offered to the Prime Minister, or at least called for by the same Lib Dem MPs who hounded Jeremy Hunt? Cable has long since lost any credibility as a member of the coalition Government, and certainly as Business Secretary.

UNEMPLOYMENT has shown a fall again, but the new claimants for unemployment benefit have increased. Do politicians take us for mugs? Unemployment benefit expires after six months then the claimant goes on to means-tested income-based Jobseekers’ Allowance. If the claimant has a partner working then the claimant receives no benefit and will not be part of the unemployment statistics.
