An ill wind of profiteering

From: ME Wright, Harrogate.

A friend recently opined that Britain is infested and governed by City sharks and their Westminster old-school chums. Their mutually assured philosophy is that if anyone so much as breaks wind, then profit must accrue. News that a 40p charge is made for the use of Leeds station toilets (The Yorkshire Post, January 29) seems to confirm this.

As a follow-up to your comment (The Yorkshire Post, January 28) about the severe reductions in local authority grant, and Kris Hopkins’ claims that “We are all in this together”, I wonder if Kris and the YP could let us know how the costs of running Parliament have changed since 2010? I suspect that they have increased.
