Surely the drapes should be flying the Union Flag again as in decades past when it symbolised a successful production programme called ‘Made in Britain’ whence the players called for investment in Great Britain and not austerity.

The UK theatre company could readily encompass the Scots, Welsh and Irish as separate entities, while they join in the biggest show in the world, ie ‘Great Britain’. The whole UK should be flagged up again as the best in manufacture, building, education, science, exports and tourism, with all its constituent countries being invited to take part, putting differences aside and uniting for the future of the people.
