Put Britain first and pull this country out of costly Europe

From: Barrie Frost, Watson’s Lane, Reighton, Filey.

I have to question if our MPs are properly representing and supporting Britain and her people.

Do they place the welfare of other countries before Britain’s interests, for how else can these decisions be explained?

The disgraceful treatment of Britain’s fishing industry, simply given away – why? Because Europe asked us to do so.

Virtually destroying our coal industry, recognised as the world’s leading mining industry.

Sacrificing our unique postal delivery services by allowing European companies to “cherry pick” the profitable parts. Now our own government has supplied yet more nails for the coffin of the post office by giving the contract for pensions and benefits to an American company.

Forsaking the dairy industry by allowing them to import their milk. Seriously damaging the competitiveness of our haulage companies by allowing foreign hauliers to use Britain’s roads without charge.

Handing over hundreds of billions of pounds to Europe over this period for reasons I am unable to think of. Do we really believe that such astronomical sums of money could not have been better used for the benefit of Britain’s people? Meekly accepting crazy directives from the European Court of Human Rights that completely oppose the views of the British people. Promoting mass uncontrolled immigration and failed multi-cultural policies which have left Britain divided and permanently altered the British way of life. Shouldn’t we be demanding just why the people we have elected to represent our interests are not carrying out this duty?

The Taxpayers’ Alliance puts the total cost to the UK of EU membership at £130.6bn a year; Ian Milne, economist of Global Britain, puts it at £139bn, over six times the £81bn over four years which Cameron, Osborne and Clegg hope to save by all the painful austerity programme to balance the books.

Cameron will not allow a democratic vote on EU exit. Without the pro-EU Lib Dems, he does not have a government.

When the UK electorate realise that the EU (a proxy for the French/German political elite), is intent on achieving the declared aim of Francois Mitterand, the former French president who once said: “I will take my revenge on the English upstarts; I will destroy their beloved island by linking it with Europe.”

He did not mean the Channel Tunnel!

When the UK electorate see that their politicians were fooled when they joined the Common Market – a trap to take the UK over by “peaceful means,” when they see that EU membership costs each and every man, woman and child in the UK an average of over £2,300 a year, they will vote for the party dedicated to exit the EU.

Trade, friendship and co-operate with other EU countries, not as a member but as an independent sovereign nation which no longer substantially funds the EU as hitherto.
