Tories need older heads

From: Terry Duncan, Greame Road, Bridlington.

As one who has voted, in Scotland for the Unionist
Party and, latterly here in England for the Conservative Party, all my life, I feel this old geezer needs to heed not the whipper-snappers and posh
boys now in charge but some older heads.

I believe the day has come when the present regime are treading on dangerous ground when they sneer at the likes of Nadine Dorries.

The public school lot, like Cameron, May, Gove and Osborne, just to name a few,
need to grow up, and take
a course in the University
of Life, just like Nadine
Dorries.

The Tory Party needs the likes of Dorries and David Davis, each brought up through hard times. They speak sense, should be noticed and should play a major role in Government.

Debacle of police vote

From: Jeffrey Stirke, Newton-le-Willows, Bedale.

THE whole country is going bonkers, as illustrated by the last round of stupidity from this supposed Government and the Police Commissioner vote.

How anyone can consider
they have a mandate to do anything after such low turnout defeats me.

One voter said that she had been watching the programme I’m a Celebrity instead of voting. And Theresa May, the Home Secretary, tried to justify the ridiculous waste of public
money by promising good times in the future. Jam tomorrow indeed.

Gate wait

From: Tim Mickleburgh, Boulevard Avenue, Grimsby.

Level crossing gates should go down much earlier. The frustration at having to wait when nothing is happening only encourages people to take their lives in their hands by going over the tracks when the lights are against them.

It’s the same with traffic lights when the pedestrian is given second class status compared to the driver.
