The Tour O’Yorkshire

AS a Yorkshireman born and bred, I find it extremely annoying and embarrassing that the Yorkshire cycle race this year should be named with a French world in the title.
Surely the only title that the race should have been given is “The Tour O’Yorkshire”. Perhaps we should rename our Yorkshire anthem “On Ilkley Moor Sans Chapeau”.

I HOPE those helmetless cyclists who ride on the A65 in Leeds listening to headphones, are charged with riding without due care and attention – they are a danger to themselves and other road users.
