Why have I been brought low by the flu jab?
WILL someone put me straight about the flu jab?
As I write, I am in bed with “the flu” and this, two-and-a-half weeks after having had the flu jab.
Now I know many will say that if you had “real flu”, you wouldn’t be able to write letters to the Yorkshire Post. So maybe, then, it’s “man flu”.

However, I’m also told by a friend who knows that you get a mild dose so that it can counteract stuff.
This, of course, was the perceived notion for years, but now, apparently not so. Or is it?
Now I’m told that “real flu” consists of a high temperature (check); nasty chesty cough (check); sneezing (check); sore eyes (check); aches and pains (check) etc, etc.

All this is confusing as I lie here dying, but there is a more serious side to this issue.
I know of at least three people who choose not to have the flu jab because of the perceived risk of getting flu.
Are they exposing themselves unnecessarily, or are they at this moment playing golf while I suffer?
