Pair are jailed for heroin plot

Two men were jailed yesterday over a drugs conspiracy which came to light when police found some £20,000 worth of heroin in a taxi.

Richard Barrett, 39, was driving the Leeds-registered cab with two people on board when it was pulled over in the Tang Hall area of York.

Yesterday, Barrett and another man, Adam Thackway, were both jailed at York Crown Court for conspiracy to supply heroin.
