Park clean up aiming to forge links

A Bradford park will be getting a clean up project that aims to improve links between the authorities and the local community.

Foster Park in Denholme will see Bradford Council’s neighbourhood service, youth service, parks and landscapes and street cleaning staff all muck in with Town Council representatives.

Overgrown areas will be cut back, damaged bins replaced, young people will help to pick up litter, and council wardens will give people anti-dog fouling advice between 12 noon and 3pm on Wednesday, 22 August.

The Youth Café in the park will be open during the event.

Coun Imran Hussain, Deputy Leader of Bradford Council, said: “A really important element of this event is that young people of the area will have the opportunity to help and to meet the people providing local services.”
