Park visitors invited to learn about wildlife

VISITORS to a North Yorkshire nature reserve are being given the chance to learn more about its hidden secrets of wildlife.

The Friends of Filey Parks will be at Filey Dams on Saturday July 16 as well as the following day to work with two small mammal experts to discover what creatures are living in the undergrowth.

Linda Cooke, who is the chairwoman of the Friends volunteer group, said: “We are hoping to get up close to some beautiful, but very small animals that you wouldn’t normally see.

“This is a great opportunity for all the family to come along and enjoy a morning out looking at nature in all its glory.”

The free event starts at 9am each day.
