Parrot causes false alarm for Harrogate fire crews
A parrot caused a false alarm in Harrogate this morning.
Crews turned out to Hookstone Close following a call shortly after 10am to reports of a smoke detector being activated at a home.
On arrival it was found that the burglar alarm had actually activated after the resident’s parrot had flown next to a sensor and set it off.
