On the path to love and prosperity

WHEN Liam Doyle decided to ditch his job in Ireland two years ago to travel the world he did not expect it to lead to him completing a degree and finding the love of his life.

But when he took part in an Open University residential course he met his partner Siobhan as he worked toward a degree in psychology.

Mr Doyle, who now lives with Siobhan, in Harrogate, was among 305

students to graduate from the OU in the region this month.

Now, is he urging others to follow in his footsteps. "Not only has my degree led me to meet some great new people with common interests, especially Siobhan, and deepened my understanding of the mind, but what I have learnt can also be applied in work and life every day.

"The quality of the qualification from the OU enables me to bring something extra to my current position and I am thoroughly enjoying applying what I have learned in my work environment."

"I can't recommend the OU enough, it's fantastically well organised and with today's online capabilities the university delivers a completely seamless learning service, wherever you are. It was an ambitious dream for me to see the world and earn a top quality degree at the same time. The OU helped me to live the dream."
