The Real Junk Food Project (TRJFP) started with a cafe in Armley providing meals made from intercepted produce, for which diners pay as much as they want.

Copycat cafes have since sprung up nationwide.

Now the founders have teamed up with charity Dentaid to give dental care to those who don’t have access to treatment at their cafe in Dewsbury, which is run by Paul Burr.

TRJFP founder Adam Smith said: “The natural progression of TRJFP is to diversify into helping others in whatever areas we can. What Paul has done is nothing short of incredible and we’re already receiving offers worldwide from others interested in the concept. Pay-as-you-feel food and dental treatment could work hand-in-hand.”
