PC stabbed in street

Three teenagers were being questioned last night after a policeman was stabbed in the street during a routine stop and search.

Pc Nigel Albuery, 34, whose injuries are not thought to be life threatening, was attacked in Bute Road, Waddon, south London, on Thursday night. He was part of a “proactive plain clothes patrol” which had stopped a group of young men.

“During this stop and search, one of the teenagers stabbed the officer several times,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesman.
