Pedestrian badly hurt after being hit by car in Bradford

A woman in her 50s is recovering in hospital after being hit by a car in Bradford.

Police say her injuries are serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.

The accident which involved a silver VW Golf, happened in Manchester Road, close to the junction with Marsh Street around 5.15pm yesterday.

The 27-year-old driver from Bradford was spoken to by officers at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
